PURPOSE: The North Central Marketing Club is
a voluntary organization which provides an opportunity to participate in group educational
activities for the purpose of gaining a better understanding of alternative marketing
tools, particularly futures and options.
MEMBERSHIP: An individual interested in the
marketing of agricultural commodities can be a member of the North Central Marketing Club.
The annual membership dues are $200.00. The dues are due the first Friday in January.
Membership will be limited to 30 members. The first 30 members that pay their fee will be
eligible to be a member. New members will not be accepted after the first Friday in
January. Individuals that express an interest in going the club after it has reached its
membership limit will be put on a waiting list.
BY-LAWS: The club can change its by-laws with
a 2/3 majority vote of the membership. Before a change in by-laws can be voted on by the
membership, the secretary must notify each member of the pending vote. The notification
must be made 15 days prior to the vote.
QUORUM: A simple majority must be present before
club business can be transacted.
OFFICERS: Officers will consist of a
president, secretary, vice-president, and treasurer. The president will conduct the
meetings and work with the facilitators to plan meetings. The secretary will keep the
minutes and be responsible for any notices that have to be sent out. The treasurer will be
responsible for maintaining the financial records for the club. The vice-president will
take care of the duties of the president in the absence of the president. Terms of the
officers will be one year.
DURATION OF THE CLUB: In December of each
year the club will evaluate its progress and consider future goals and new members.
